Dewitt Drake, A Canadian painter and printmaker, is not listed in the reference works on Canadian Art. He exhibited four paintings at the Ontario Society of Artists’ annual exhibition in 1921. His etchings were included in the 1957, 1959, 1960 and 1962 exhibitions of the Society of Canadian Painter-Etchers and Engravers. Drake may have worked at the Toronto Telegram as a type-setter.
