Provenance: Purchased by Peter Nahum, [Leicester Galleries, London, label on verso] from an English family, who were likely the descendants of the artist.
Originally part of an early 19th century English military portfolio of watercolours & drawings that included North American & Asian scenes. Purchased by art dealer Peter Nahum from an English family, who were likely the descendants of the artist.
