4 3/4 x 8 3/8 inches. grey-tone watercolour on paper. titled & dated “July 1828”.  

Provenance: Purchased by Peter Nahum, [Leicester Galleries, London, label on verso] from an English family, who were likely the descendants of the artist.
Originally part of an early 19th century English military portfolio of watercolours & drawings. Included in the collection were views along the St. Lawrence river [Quebec City, Montreal, the Thousand Islands], views of Niagara, Lake Champlain, Saratoga Springs, and Philadelphia. Purchased by art dealer Peter Nahum from an English family, who were likely the descendants of the artist.
